this item is not army issue, but a cheap replica. considering you can pick up the "real" british army issue entrenching tool for a similar price i would not recommend this for any body . . . well unless you enjoy paying for a tool that does half the things the "real" product does for the same price.

Value for money....10 out of 10. Very useful for keeping in a car for those few days in the year when our country falls apart when the snow finally comes. Feels very well made. MUCH MUCH MUCH more compact than I had expected.
folding shovel
Looked good, folds up nicely, the only trouble is it also folds up when you try to dig in hard ground. works ok in sand or loose soil but as the locking lugs are made too small to ensure a solid fixing, this spade is only good for the beach.
