compact and durable

A good all rounder for small jobs if your a bit on the lazey side and don't want to put any effort in manually. Not that I am lol. Get one, the price is right, not silly money. A good piece of kit. I'm well sorted.

Great tool, I use it all the time

I love this screwdriver - I got mine four months ago, and have used it many, many times since. I built a wooden bed (with many wood screws) recently and this screwdriver made the job much more pleasant. I've also used it for all sort of household fixes and bicycle maintenance. The motor is powerful. It's certainly strong enough to crush wood if you were to over-tighten screws. But fortunately, it also had a selectable torque limit so you can have it only lightly tighten the screws before stopping/slipping. This is a really vital feature. I usually chose a low setting at first, and then gradually move to higher settings once I've seen how tightly the screw has gone in. On the 'max' setting, it can probably tighten things more that I could by hand. Since the motor is doing the work, you can focus on just pushing *in* rather than in-and-turning. People have commented that the forward/backwards switch is easy to hit by accident. I have big hands and haven't found it a big deal. I tend to put pressure on the back of the main barrel rather than squeezing the handle so maybe that's why. The battery keeps going for ages; quite unlike the old 'rechargable screwdriver' my dad had years ago which always ran flat at the worst moment. Battery technology is much improved these days. I'd recommend getting a cheap multiset of screwdriver/torq/allen bits to complement this product; it's great always having the "right" size bit rather than compromising.

This tool was just what I was expecting...light and easy to use. As long as you don't need heavy-duty requiriements, this fits the bill. I have as yet to re-charge this unit, so the battery life is proving to be as advertised. The driver bits included not only has traditional slotted and posidrive bits, but also a spax type bit, which is much-needed these days. Also included is a 2.5mm drill bit. This will be ideal for working in confined spaces, where larger, more powerful cordless drill/drivers would prove cumbersome. The downside so far is that the coutersink attached to the drill bit has worked loose, with no apparant means of tightening.

Really useful

Four features makes this screwdriver a great buy. 1. Long lasting battery life. 2. Led lights that lights up the area around the screw. 3. Retractable and magnetic screw holder that frees your other hand. 4. Reasonable price.

Excellent piece of kit

Black & Decker 3.6V Lithium-Ion Cordless ScrewdriverI purchased this after the charger on my Black & Decker VPX Lithion died and the manufacturer had no spares!!! This has not got the power that the VXP had but it has a screw support which can double as a depth gauge plus it has a usefull led light to illuminate the work area. It is very useful and I can see it doing a lot of work in the future!
