Excellent value

I saw this on Hotukdeals and thought it was a bargain. So much so that I bought three! I have tested one on a wide range of bladed implements (the biggest a garden hoe) and it has been able to put a sharp edge on them all. The hoe did split the plastic housing (that's what I get for being silly) however I still use it for kitchen knives and pen knives and it works a treat. It won't do scissors. If you need to sharpen a knife get one.

Small but effective

It works very well, even with knives to open with a single hand. For kitchen knives is wonderful.

Good for the price

Nice little sharpener for how much it cost. I dont think it would handle a very blunt knife but good just to keep on top of things.

Ok kit!

I am a backpacker and looking for the perfect small sharpener for extended trips to keep my knife sharp while actually on the trail. I have used this sharpener on a selection of knives and it performs OK. I have knives from Gerber, Buck, Boker all good quality stuff. They vary in size and shape and are used in accordance with the sort of trip I am doing. I use a sharpening stone at home and this keeps my kit in the best condition. So, I only need a small sharpener to maintain that condition. This is the smallest sharpener that I have tried and it is alright, but by no means exceptional. I am sure there is better out there? My search goes on....

I purchased it with my Gerber Suspension: does its job very well. I have also used it a couple of times to give a second life to old dull knives. In a word: efficient, cheap and tiny!
