Excellent value for money. Achieved the purpose without need to call out a plumber. Also good for ongoing maintenance, early checks for damp in any area of house and fencing

This Rapitest dampmeter arrived on time, was easy to set up for use, worked the first time we used it. 3 weeks later, when we took it out to use again the battery check worked but not the sensors. Very frustrating, so it is back in the post for a replacement. It would be nice to think that the damp has gone but no its just the dampmeter not working.

Quite simply, it does what it says on the label. Granted, I have no experience of this type of testing before - time will tell how reliable it will be. As for calibration, I suggest that before use the item is tested on a known bone dry item, a slightly damp item and a known wet item. I bought this item on the basis of previous reviews which have been born out in practice - thank you to previous reviewers.

There isn't much to write about this. It does what it is supposed to and is easy to use. Unfortunately, it's a shame for me I can't get the housing association to fully sort out the issue with some damp but have done my best and this meter helped to find the problem areas.

Easy to set up and use. Caravan/motorhome owners should be aware that for accurate readings, the prongs have to be pushed in beyond exterior material.
