Good product bad instructions

I read the reviews about this being difficult to assemble, and thought how hard could a helmet be? the truth is it is not hard if you know how, but you wont know how by reading the instructions, as it does not tell you, the difficult part is putting the inner head band in to the plastic outer shell, there are 4 plastic tabs that slot into 4 groves in the helmet, you need to bend the plastic tabs, along the middle fold, it is not as obvious as you would think, but once you've done that you can slide the tabs in correctly, and the helmet will sit on your head in the right way. remember the sweat band goes at the front of the helmet The rest is quite straight forward, the ear phones go on after by clipping them in to the slot and the visor arms slides in to the headphone support, the visor itself is held on by the little tabs on the visor frame, you need to turn them to lock the visor in place. I've given 3 stars only because the instructions are useless, the product seems very good and just what you need if you value your safety. I have not used it yet so I wont comment on it's effectiveness, but I think it will do the job just fine. I hope this helps.

Assembly is easy when you know how

The instructions are useless. It took ages to work out but what you need to do is take each of the 4 plastic fittings and fold them over the band. There is a white crease line already in the plastic. The keys then easily slide into the slots. Also its not obvious that the visor band fits into the ear defenders. Otherwise it seems pretty good. With the ear defenders in place it feels really secure 'though I suspect it may not be rugged enough for industrial use. If you've ever been splattered with bits of frog while using a strimmer this is for you.

Helmet is good value for the money . The instructions are poor and easily mis-understood!! More detail IS needed. When bending the 4 lugs put the strap end in and not the seemingly obvious way > otherwise the whole thing will not sit on your headand bob around like a cork . ( To quote another review ) Your head should be well into the helmet and not stickinj above the rim ! You should allow at least an hour to assemble this item, maybe 2 to 3 hrs . unless you 'twig' the method !!!!

Impossible to assemble

After a great deal of struggle I managed to push one of the head band hangers into the slot in the helmet, but it was just too hard to fit the others. Assembly instructions are poor.

This is an item that is a great help to me as it will give added protection whenever I use my chainsaw - a visor being so much better than goggles which can 'steam' up. However, I did think the instructions to assenble it could have more clarity, but after various trials I soon discovered the correct way, and am now very pleased with the purchase.
