This is everything I expected. Good grip size (Large hands). sturdy. well constructed. I was a little dubious about buying this as it replaced a 'Glued-in' type which was attached to a Stainless Shaft with no split and therefore no means of clamping it in place. It was a doddle. Because of my particular need, it had to be slightly shortened at the taper end (and shaved) but I have ended up with a lovely, garden fork with with a very long shaft. I am hoping that the matching spade shaft breaks so that I can modify that one too. Excellent.

Broke my Spear and Jackson fork and they refuse to supply replacement handles preferring to supply a complete new fork under warranty - reprehensible ecologically, all that stainless steel going to waste. This handle did the job, with shiny bits to match the shiny fork even. And aaah the fettlin' The sensuousness of a spokeshave on ash . . . . Dead easy to fit.

A few years back I bought a stainless steel fork. It's still going strong, but I've been through 3 or 4 handles. I have paid not much less for a simple T shape handle. This one has an aluminium reinforced hanlde. Nice. It is also a lovely piece of wood. I've used it a few times and it's working well. Don't know how long this one will last, but I'm very satisfied with it and the delivery service. If you need one of these, this come highly recommended.

I bought this item to replace the handle of my trusty old shovel which finally gave up the ghost. It arrived in a flash, fitting was a breeze and it handles very well. And best of all, my trusty old shovel lives again!
