I ordered this item because I had a cheap pair which weren't working at all and thought I would buy something a bit better to use. I was not disappointed, it arrived in reasonable time and it is perfect for the use I am putting it to. Naturally you would need something else if you were trying to cut great big branches off a tree but for hedging, and the usual pruning in the garden it is excellent

Can't find fault with these secateurs, except they aren't really suitable for very hard or dried thick stems, I find it best to use a lopper for that. Someone here mentioned the secateurs don't always open and close, but I've found that is due to a build up of sticky sap on the blades which is easily removed with a wire brush. True, some parts are made of plastic, but it seems pretty tough plastic. Another thing I'm delighted with is that Wilkinsons no longer use an internal spring, but use a conventional secateur spring, which should be fairly easy to replace at an Ironmonegers. Overall I expect these secateurs to last a very long time, at the very least they are most comfortable to use.

This product seems a little "cheap" looking for what should be a top class product.The orange plastic locking bits don't help.In use they cut well but the spring does not always return the jaws to an open position ready for the next cut,maybe they need adjusting,but that shouldn't need to be done straight out of the box.

Bought a s a replacement for my ancient scateurs and am really pleased with them. They have a good grip and very strong.

I bought this secateurs yesterday as a replacement for my now defunct Draper,its a remarkable tool,very comfortable,extremely sharp and poviding a very clean cut.I wouldnt expect any thing less from Wilkinson Sword.
